Professional training is necessary for this career, and it can be gained on-the-job, through an apprenticeship, or via a formal certificate or degree program in baking and pastry arts.
Qualification:
- High school diploma at minimum; certificate, associate's degree and apprenticeship programs are common
- At least have 4 years of pastry experience, reviewable independence restaurant and 4 star hotels
- Must have good knowledge of pastry
- Must have good knowledge about food cost & administration
- Strong leadership, interpersonal & communication skill
- Creative and Innovative
- Able to work under pressure
